1. Smart Commerce for Manufacturing to boost spare parts sales and leverage new channels

Smart Manufacturers are continuously exploring new channels and uncovering promising revenue opportunities such as Commerce for aftermarket sales to efficiently sell spare and wear parts, consumables and services. With the focus on fulfilling customers' specific needs as precisely as possible and today's buyer demands of an Amazon-like experience, we have released new features and functions for our Manufacturing Sales Platform. We want to enable you with the ability to deliver a best-in-class commerce experience for your customers.

Eliminate your customers' biggest pain points of manually combing through spare part catalogues with hundreds to thousands of items. Cut down errors from manual selection and guide them visually to find the right spare parts for their machines and industrial products via a digital catalogue available in a modern commerce shop front. With our Visual Product Finder you can digitize your entire spare parts catalogue, so your customers can conveniently locate and order the right parts anytime and independently from sales consultation or customer service teams. Install-base matching spare parts are displayed as an image with hotspots representing the relevant parts which customers can simply click to add to shopping cart, review, edit, or order at their convenience.

Digital Marketing opportunities have long been limited for B2B companies with complex product offerings. With the 20/11 release we are enabling you with the highest flexibility to adjust the commerce UI, and configure your shopfront to your exact needs. Provide your customers with all the information that they need to buy from you easily. Boost sales in your commerce shop front through custom tabs and additional views or load external applications and highlight your unique selling propositions in the most compelling way.

What other updates do we have in 20/11 for commerce?

  • Now that you can eliminate selection errors, rest assured that we also took care of penny-perfect pricing in commerce, thanks to internal or external SAP ERP pricing availability.
  • Expect another significant drop in order changes as we now also offer enhanced order data points for creating the order in ERP in commerce.
  • We improved user maintenance in Commerce to enhance the admin experience and make it as easy as possible for you to profit from this channel.

2. Maximized front sales efficiency through seamless CRM access in Outlook and Opportunity Management

Your Sales Reps are basically living in Outlook to stay on top of sales engagements. They communicate with customers, set appointments and follow up with their daily timeline, all through email. Help them to boost productivity with our new Office 365 Outlook Integration.

Our new Office plug-in helps your sales force sync valuable contact data, email, and calendar items directly from your CRM. It enables them to engage with your customers smoothly and efficiently. All relevant documents are neatly organized and referenced to the right customers and transactions. Accounts, opportunities and quotes can be directly accessed from mails so your sales’ conversations are always relevant, up-to-date and on pointhelping deals move through the funnel much faster.

In this 20/11 release we added new features and fields in Opportunity View to help sales representatives and managers monitor sales cycles more effectively and make better informed decisions. 3. New Configuration View to boost Manufacturing CPQ effectiveness

Product and solution configuration are among the most complex and knowledge demanding steps in a manufacturers sales process. They are also the most error-prone and margin-consuming part of the sales journey. All the more reason for us to turn the Configure Price Quote part into an efficient and intuitive experience for both, your sales and your customers.

Therefore, we have re-designed our Configuration View to guide your sales throughout the entire configuration process for quick and accurate results that match your customer’s requirements and result in viable and profitable quotes. The new Characteristics Visualization helps sales to identify and compare alternative product and configuration options instantly. And new Filter and View options enable sales to perform the most accurate and efficient sales configuration possible.
